Les Townsend, Founder and President
The Townsend Management Group
(TMG) is led by
Les Townsend who founded the
firm in 1987.
He has over 25 years of multi-dimensional
management experience. His expertise
is in
organizational and operational
leadership
and productivity. He has implemented
improvement programs in varied
work
environments ranging from
wall street to indian reservations,
and from banking to coal mining.
He has managed in Fortune 500
companies and small retail firms.
As a military officer, he was
commended for leadership in
combat and in a strategic planning
role for a Pentagon Agency.
He holds
a BS from South Carolina State
College,
an MBA from the University of
Southern California and completed
additional graduate studies
at Temple University.
Les is a Board Member for the
Denver Black
Chamber of Commerce and The
Rocky
Mountain Minority Purchasing
Council. He also
serves on the local Transit
District's Small
Business Advisory Council and
was a member
of the new Mayor's IT Transition
Team.
TMG is organized to serve clients
efficiently
and effectively. TMG is
a team-based,
collaborative, project management
organization
with no more than two layers
of management
between the operating staffs
and Les Townsend.
